Established Multi-Entity Business – Topeka, KS Area
We are a well-established limestone quarry and fabrication company seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.
This role is primarily responsible for bookkeeping and financial accuracy (approximately 70% of the position), while also supporting daily office operations (approximately 30%). The ideal candidate is organized, professional with customers, and comfortable working in a collaborative small-office environment.
This position works closely with the office team to ensure both smooth customer service and accurate financial operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks (multi-entity environment)
-Accounts receivable and accounts payable
-Bank and credit card reconciliations
-Proper coding across multiple companies and locations
-Customer deposits and invoice management
-Sales tax reporting
-Maintain organized digital and physical records
-Assist CPA with year-end documentation and reporting
-Coordinate purchasing of office and shop supplies as needed
-Support organization of office records and documentation
-Assist with other related duties necessary to support efficient office and company operations
Office Operations Responsibilities:
-Assist in answering incoming calls daily and provide professional phone coverage as part of the office team
-Provide professional and courteous customer interaction
-Support customer needs when other team members are assisting clients
-Contribute to a cooperative and professional office environment
Qualifications:
-3+ years bookkeeping experience (QuickBooks experience required)
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Comfortable working with multiple entities and locations
-Professional phone presence
-Organized and dependable
-Willing to support team needs in a small-office setting
-Construction, manufacturing, or trade industry experience is a plus.
