Pictures, Dam and Sire information, udder Pictures upon request. Zero line or inbreeding. I run 2 different flocks.
If Health Certificates are needed,
please let me know. Health Certificates are an addition cost outside of the already listed price. I can typically get them completed within 3 business days. This is a cost that must be paid prior to the vet appointment. I give you a quote, direct from the vet. If the quote was to high, whats left will be applied to the remaining fees. If it was to low you will be notified in a timely manner of and given till pick up to pay the additional. If you would like additional testing that too is at the buyers expense.
My average is as follows
1st year- Half a gallon, twice a day = 1 gallon.
2nd year- A gallon, twice a day= 2 gallons a day.
This is our 3rd year. Ill keep you updated. I would think close to a gallon and a half 2x a day. Some do weight, I can assure you im not counting the foam.
Keys to success, I will always say proper nutrition, strong genetics and proper breeding. This will give you the best experience. This will be our last year doing dam raised. We played some with feed over the years. Ultimately the early milking is what gives me the best output. Lamb sharing is to hard with over 10 ewes and usually 2 lambs a piece.
Great genetics
Green Dirt Farm is my foundation stock for my 1st flock and a mix of my second. My second flock has less than 20 percent Awassi, naturally polled. That sire has genetics from Rice Farm, Karras Farm and a dairy in Texas.
No line breeding
Dairy Sheep, wool sheep.
Grass genetics, parasite resistance that has held true in our operation and climate.
We have done away with the awassi sire and kept 8 of his ewe lambs. We are breeding 16 ewes to a new sire from Green Dirt. We will do a mass herd reduction from Jan-April of 2027. I will be selling mature ewes in milk with and without lambs. We are starting the list now. Please let me know what you are looking for and we will try and meet your request. I do have some room this coming year 2027 to sell mature ewes and ram lambs not related.
