Currently seeking a responsible and friendly roommate to join our 3-bedroom home in Topeka in great area!
*About the residential home:*
- 3 bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. Bedroom is fully furnished with basics, bed, dresser, night stand, lamp, closet.
- 1200 + square feet + basement for shelter if needed. Laundry area with new washer and dryer.
- recently updated : new paint, new flooring, new windows, new ceiling fans/lights, wood floors, walk-in shower, new vanity & toilet.
- location, two blocks from I-470 & Fairlawn close to public transportation, Johnny’s west, BB theater, lots of shopping, recreational activities, and parks.
*About Us:*
- Owner is middle aged disabled 55 year old professional-entrepreneur now retired. Currently looking for someone to share our space with like minded individuals.
- We're clean, respectful, and enjoy a quiet, clean and comfortable living environment. This is eco friendly, hippy friendly, musician friendly atmosphere…. Not into drugs, smoking anything! (other than cannabis) it’s not cuz we’re not hip, it’s about health care. Due to medical conditions, we choose to live free of all that, as well as all the unwanted drama that tends to follow users and abusers & losers. Also we are a Pet free home and will remain so as there is already a medical service dog in residence.
*What We're Looking For:*
In the past ideal renters who have stayed at our home, have been professional doctors doing seminars at the university, short term, construction workers, long-term construction workers, and just regular blue-collar working individuals with regular jobs. In the past, we’ve always found finding like-minded individuals who share similar political as well as social outlooks, and lifestyles, Tend to make the best candidates for cohabitation. As this is a shared housing environment.
- Someone who is reliable, trustworthy, and considerate of common use spaces and understands, all residents are required and responsible for their share of shared responsibility in cleaning and general up keep of the house .
You use bathroom , shower, shave here. Well YEAH you will be expected to fill in your turn at cleaning the bathroom, kitchen etc! Because hey frankly, we’re not your maid, and we don’t expect you to be ours….. but if you’re not willing to do your share, this isn’t the place for you!
- Must be comfortable with music, cleaning smells/noises during the normal daytime waking hours of 8am -11pm.
- Looking for someone who will sign a lease, pay rent on time, be gainfully employed or a student with verifiable stable income source. References personal or employment.
Must not be a felon, drug registry offenders, sex registry offenders!
*Rent and Utilities:*
- $ 650 per month fully furnished bedroom: includes bed/w-linens, dresser, night table and lamp, utilities, e.g. water, electricity, internet, trash/recycling. Full use of cookware, dish wear & silverware, cooking utensils, bath towels, wash clothes etc. full use of common areas of house. New washer dryer use.
