A group (7 people) from the Topeka area is planning a Grand Canyon raft trip in May of 2019. We use a commercial outfitter that provides everything except your clothes and camera. Two professional guides pilot the large motorized raft and cook gourmet meals at riverside each morning, noon and night of the 7 day trip. The cost is $2810 per person. The raft is safe and never tips. The river is mostly smooth water interrupted by 20 to 30 seconds of rapids every few miles. You pay all fees directly to the outfitter (Western River Expeditions). If we can fill all 16 passenger slots on the raft, Western River will provide one free fee. Those savings will be equally distributed among all 16 passengers. The outfitter takes reservations from the general public, so there is no guarantee. In the past, we have rented a van to get there and split costs equally. You can drive out to Marble Canyon Arizona or fly into Las Vegas. I can email a slide show from my previous 3 trips. Contact me if you are interested! -Don
