Interim HealthCare's Hospice volunteers work side-by-side with the professional staff to provide patient and family support. As a friend who pledges to be with them through the uncertainties of the weeks ahead, volunteers offer patients and families a listening ear, a hand to hold, and the presence of a caring heart. Services offered by the volunteers are as varied as the needs of the patients and families. Interim HealthCare's Hospice volunteers also provide support in the office: at health fairs, parades and with community education. All volunteers receive specialized training before assignment to patients and families. There is no area where the expertise and enthusiasm of the volunteers is not a valuable asset. For more information about becoming a volunteer, call Tess at 272-1616.
We encourage you to call and consider joining our volunteer staff . We are certain that you will learn that you agree with our current volunteers: they receive much more than they give.
With numerous opportunities and programs for junior volunteers (ages 16-17) and adult volunteers (ages 18+) there is sure to be one that will allow you to use your talents to make a difference in the lives of others -- and your own too. Call Interim HealthCare Hospice at
